Black Iron Horse

Black Iron Horse has been building cargo bikes in Copenhagen since 1996. Frames and boxes are assembled and tested in Kastrup, and the cargo box is made from Danish recycled plastic.

Four model lines are ready for a test ride, and the test ride is free. Every new bike comes with its first service included, and used bikes are available through the ReRide programme. Delivery normally takes 10 to 15 working days, with a 14-day right of return and a two-year warranty.

Tracker fitting and service happen at the two workshops in Kastrup and Nørrebro, by appointment. Besides the Kastrup site there is a flagship store at Nørrebrogade 41 in Copenhagen, which keeps its own opening hours.

The company is owned by the Ebbefos Fonden, which has directed its surplus into projects for children and young people since 2021.
